The size of a basketball court, is the interactive touchscreen that Nike has created, in collaboration with AKQA, for a training session with Kobe Bryant. This great display, called House of Mamb, detects player movement, shows training exercises and performance statistics.

AKQA and Nike have teamed up to develop an LED screen as big as a basketball court. Called House of Mamb this large interactive display uses motion tracking technology to vary what is displayed on its surface, so that it is possible to see under the shoes of the players each of their steps.

The House of Mamb screen has been developed on the occasion of the tour that is being held with the finalists of the Rise Nike contest that is taking place in China and that has the collaboration of Kobe Bryant.

House of Mamb is a large touch screen that is used as a basketball court and is capable, using motion-tracking technology, detecting the player's movement, show training exercises, based on the formation of Kobe Bryant himself, and challenge them to make new moves.

And that's why it's been used in Shanghai to train and challenge the last 30 Rise Nike contestants. This display incorporates sensors that are responsible for detecting the movements of each of the players individually.

Nike House of MambHowever, it's not just the players who benefit from the LED technology of this gigantic floor screen. Videos, Counters, scoreboards and statistics can be reproduced in a very spectacular way for the enjoyment of the audience.

The Nike Rise tour is an initiative that seeks new basketball talents among young people in China with sportsman Kobe Bryant. Finalists will have the opportunity to compete at the Nike World Basketball Festival in Barcelona next month.
