The Italian spectacular lighting company Clay Paky has become part of the German multinational Osram, fruit of the acquisition agreement signed last August and which has now become effective, that reinforces its position in the environment professional stage lighting and entertainment systems.

Osram, specialized in LED systems and laser light, has taken a further step in its business focus in order to strengthen its position in the professional market of spectacular lighting and entertainment with the acquisition of the private equity company Clay Paky, based in the Italian town of Bergamo.

Clay Paky's purchase agreement was signed before Pasquale Quadri's passing, founder and CEO of this company, which from now on will be part of Osram's specialized lighting business unit, in which the backlight of screens are also integrated, optical and automotive.

The head of this division, Hans-Joachim Schwabe, "The combination of Osram and Clay Paky will form a leading professional entertainment lighting system provider, with a strong background in SSL technologies, such as LED and laser light".

In this sense, the CEO of the German multinational, Wolfgang Dehen, ha puntualizado en un comunicado que “Clay Paky es una adición selectiva por parte de nuestra compañía que mejora la posición de la unidad de negocios de iluminación especializada en un mercado altamente atractivo”.

Clay Paky's systems, distributed in Spain by Stonex, comprise moving heads, LED, Projectors, light cannons, Etc. who are present in numerous concerts, Clubs, theatres and entertainment applications and creation of environments and light effects.
