Barco TD series: transportable dome displays for simulation environment
Barco TD series transportable dome displays are offered in configurations with one (TD-135 y TD-150), three (TD-322 y TD-350) and five projectors (TD-522). A range that responds to the requirements demanded by the simulation market.
The TD series is the new range of dome displays developed by Barco. A line that has its application in the simulation and training market and is available in different configurations, with a, three or five projectors. The use of high-tech screens and optics, and lightweight support structures make these solutions easy to transport and install.
Mobility, profitability and high performance, combined in a compact size, are key requirements in most simulation applications. Whether for in-flight applications, land or in a vehicle, training should be done as close to the center of the mission as possible. This is why there is a great demand for high-quality transportable dome displays that allow creating realistic simulation visual effects..
The TD series is available in configurations of 1, 3 o 5 projectors, all of them with a diameter of 2,3 metros. Projector models have a horizontal field of view (HFOV) 160° and a vertical field of view (VFOV) between +54° and -42.5°. In this configuration, the TD series consists of two models: el TD-135 (powered by a Barco F35 projector) and the TD-150 (with a F50 Boat). The use of the projector is combined with an optical mirror system that minimizes installation and adjustment time.
The TD-322 and TD-350 screens use three F22 and F50 projectors, respectively. The HFOV amounts to 180° and the VFOV is between + 54° and -42.5° for the TD-322, and between +43° and -30.5° for the TD-350. The flagship model of this range of dome screens is the TD-522, which incorporates five Barco F22 projectors., with an HFOV of 220° and a VFOV between +54º and -42.5°.
“We have a long history in the design and construction of transportable dome screens.. With the TD series, We respond to the demand of a very specific market by combining high visual quality with great solidity and ease of deployment. In addition to offering precision and security”, explica Peter De Meerleer, Director of Strategic Marketing of the company.
