Harman reinforces its presence in the AV over IP market with the purchase of SVSi
SVSi will join Harman Professional's SBU division and its AV over IP products will be marketed under the AMX by Harman brand.
Harman International has acquired SVSi, Huntsville-based manufacturer (Alabama) that SVSi manufactures and markets a wide portfolio of products for the AV environment over an IP network, including a complete range of high-performance encoders and decoders, video wall processors, an audio transceiver, video recorders and management software.
“For more than six years, We have been introducing new products to respond to the growing demand of the AV over IP market.. With this acquisition, “We will accelerate our development plan by incorporating the experience of the SVSi team”, comenta Blake Augsburger, president of Harman Professional.
SVSi will join the Video and Control Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Harman Professional directed by Rashid Skaf and its products will be marketed under the brand AMX by Harman.
“Our products have been recognized with numerous industry awards and adopted by a wide variety of organizations belonging to different sectors such as entertainment, government, education and business sectors.
