Cellnex Telecom and Sigfox present the advantages of their network for the Internet of Things
To present in detail the benefits of your IoT network, Cellnex Telecom and Sigfox have held an informative day attended by more than 80 professionals linked to device development companies, sensors, applications and platforms.
The network for the Internet of Things (IoT) that offers Cellnex Telecom presents a connectivity model that links physical objects of daily life, like a water meter, a garbage container or an emergency lighting system, and keeps them integrated into the network.
This network is characterized by allowing low-cost deployment with an assured maintenance model whose access is possible in more than 1.300 base stations implemented by this independent wireless telecommunications infrastructure operator, located in all types of environments. One points that have the technology of Sigfox in a territorial coverage that is significantly higher than that of other European countries.
Thanks to this network, it is possible to develop products that have already seen the light on the market., as is the case of the new generation of Verisure alarms developed by Securitas Direct with dual Sigfox connectivity. However, The applications that can be developed in the future are numerous and could materialize in sectors such as healthcare., waste and water management or smart infrastructure.

It is estimated that in 2020 more than 28.000 millions of objects are connected to each other and in these perspectives the alliance between Cellnex Telecom and Sigfox seeks to provide Spain with a relevant role in this process.
