New York CityFest uses Elation Led panels for the stage

The Elation EPT6IP Led panels were used to mount the screens located on both sides of the stage and those located on the towers with delay speakers., positioned among the attending public. An installation that requires 280 teams to carry out the NY CityFest.

For NY CityFest, that took place on the Great Lawn of the well-known public park Central Park in New York were used 280 modules of the new outdoor LED video panel Elation EPT6IP, brand that distributes Visualsvisuals.

The company Audio Spectrum was in charge of assembling the screens, powered by Gemini Light, Sound & Video, and the structures and setting of the event, while the video and lighting design was the responsibility of Gordon Painter and Kevin Shaw.

New York CityFest is an outdoor festival organized by the evangelical congregation of Luis Palau, featuring live musical performances and collaboration with local congregations and charities.

The Elation EPT6IP Led panels were used to mount the screens located on both sides of the stage and those located on the towers with delay speakers., positioned among the attending public, that reached the 60.000 spectators. These screens showed the making of cameras during the event and also other visual content and videos that were projected during the performances.

Each of the side screens was made up of 8 Elation EPT6IP panels wide and 14 high, for a total of 112 panels per screen and a total screen size of 5 meters wide by 9 high.

The screens mounted on the two delay towers consisted of 7 wide panels and 4 high, for a total of 28 panels per tower and a screen size of 4,5 by 2,5 metros.

"Around 60.000 people attended this festival, So the objective of mounting these large screens on both sides of the stage was to make it clearly visible to the entire audience.. The side screens were clearly visible at any time of the day, also during the hours of greatest sunlight and from hundreds of meters away”, comments Luis Jaimes from the company Audio Spectrum and person responsible for the design of the installation of the screens., as well as the assembly and disassembly of the 280 EPT6IP modules.

Elation EPT6IP

The Elation EPT6IP is a Led video display with a pixel density of 6,7 millimeters, a luminosity of 5.000 lumens, an IP65 construction and has been designed for applications such as large productions and musical tours.
Its resistant aluminum structure, the design with 4 removable LED modules per panel, A quick assembly system and its IP65 construction for outdoor use in all types of weather conditions make it a very versatile solution.

“By having large LED screens, and take place in the middle of a large esplanade in Central Park, It was absolutely necessary that they could cope with all types of weather conditions during the four days they were set up., taking into account the days of assembly and disassembly, of rehearsals and the event itself”, comments Luis.

Having to install hundreds of panels, many of them elevated to 10 meters above the ground for positioning, A fast and effective assembly system between the different panels was a fundamental characteristic for choosing the Elation solution.

“EPT6IP panels are extremely easy to assemble and dismantle, which was something very important taking into account the number of panels to be assembled on each of the two main screens with 112 Led panels each. The Elation EPT6IP assembly system has allowed us to assemble and disassemble each of the 280 panels that we have used in a very fast way, even working on assembly and disassembly operations with the help of auxiliary staff for events who had no previous experience in this type of assembly of LED screens”.
