FICOD 2015 opens its doors to bring together the protagonists of the digital economy
Talent, industry and entrepreneurship are the pillars on which the seventh edition of the International Digital Content Forum is based, which today opened its doors at the Madrid Conference Center. An event that has been inaugurated by the President of the Government Mariano Rajoy and that will develop its program until next 3 November.
Today it opened its doors at the Municipal Congress Palace of Madrid FICOD 2015, an event that brings together the most relevant aspects of the industry, with your companies and professionals; ideas and trends, with outstanding speakers; the talent, with young people and the offer of training in new digital professions; and business, with entrepreneurs and investors.
This International Forum of Digital Content, which is organized by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, through Red.es, It will take place over three days with the aim of promoting and promoting the development of the Spanish digital economy, inside and outside national borders, as one of the main drivers of current growth.
The inauguration of this seventh edition was carried out by the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, who was accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Jose Manuel Soria; the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and the Information Society, Víctor Calvo-Sotelo and the general director of Red.es, Daniel Noguera.
FICOD 2015 has started with a presentation by Porter Erisman, former vice president of Alibaba, who has spoken about how this online company has influenced the evolution of electronic commerce.
Together with Erisman, more than 80 national and international experts from the world of the digital economy, as Jessica Federer, Director of Digital Development at Bayer, or Enrique Gato, founder of Lightbox Entertainment, For three days, they will share future trends and success stories in the sector with FICOD15 attendees..
The topics that will be presented in this forum will be developed around different presentations, workshops, seminars, exhibition area, networking spaces and activities and recreational proposals.
Five lines of action
FICOD 2015 has expanded its axis of action by addressing topics of sectoral and general interest such as emerging technologies (Internet of Things, big data, cloud, 3D printing or virtual reality), innovation, video games, financial technology, the animation, las apps, communication and digital marketing, e-commerce, digital music, el e-learning, new media or entrepreneurship.
Besides, This year the Forum grows in activities aimed at encouraging greater public participation, with special attention to young people, professionals and students. Demonstrations will be carried out with virtual reality applications, robotics, 'digital challenges', 3D printing, competitions for gamers and different digital experiences.
The International Content Forum is structured around five axes: Congress, Industry, Talent, Financing and Festival. In previous editions it has brought together more than 1.000 speakers, has celebrated close to 600 workshops and seminars and has aroused the interest of 20.000 unique visitors.
