The Spanish Association of Lighting Manufacturers has participated again in Light & Building 2016, which was recently held at Messe Frankfurt, accompanying more than 35 Spanish lighting companies interested in the international market.

Since the biennial European fair Light & Building opened its doors more than ten years ago at Messe Frankfurt, the Spanish Association of Lighting Manufacturers (Anphalum), in collaboration with ICEX Spain Export and Investment, has not stopped participating in accompanying Spanish technical lighting companies, interested in the international market, that in the recent edition 2016 have been more than 35 companies.

The Anfalum stand has served as a meeting point with its associates, press and visitors, which in this edition has tripled the number of visits compared to the call for 2014, according to data provided by the association, and that they are in line with the record of professionals who have attended the contest, encrypted in 216.000 visitors, according to Messe Frankfurt, which means an increase in 2,3%.

Light-Building2016 AnfalumThe exhibition, celebrated between 13 and the 18 last March, counted in his 248.500 square meters of surface with the presence of 2.589 exhibitors of 55 countries, which represents a growth of 4% compared to the previous edition. Light's next call & Building will take place 18 y 23 March 2018.

In addition to the presence of the president of Anfalum, Pilar Vazquez; its general director, Alfredo Berges, and the head of Foreign Trade, Ruben Hernandez, During the event the association promoted and disseminated the activities of Lighting Europe, as European Federation of Lighting Associations of which it is the only member representing the Spanish market.

Light-Building2016 AnfalumThe topic that has starred in the Lighting Europe conference cycles in this edition has been 'Human centric lighting' (HCL), that explains the impact of light on the life and behavior of human beings. “This is one of the strategic objectives of the sector in Europe. The EU supports the 'Lighting for people' project as a platform to proactively raise awareness of HCL to the different agents in the sector: smarcities, SMEs, scientific community, etc; and from Brussels the objective is to create regulations on HCL”, has pointed out Anfalum Diederick from Stoppelaar, secretario general de Lighting Europe.

Among the companies associated with Anfalum within the Lighting Europe HCL program, Philips are located, Osram, Normagroup, Trilux, Iguzzini, Panasonic, Lec, among others.

During the event, the Lighting Europe Strategic Plan was also presented, in which Anfalum has actively participated since the project began in Madrid in March of last year, and that focuses on four basic points that will mark the evolution of the market: the so-called Ledificación; smart lighting; Human Centric Lighting and the Circular Economy.
