This initiative is shaping up to support the communication and promotion of new products and services that will be shown at BIT 2016. A jury of experts have selected the nine most innovative proposals.

BIT Innova 2016

The Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology, bit 2016, organized by IFEMA del 24 to the 26 May at Feria de Madrid, will present for the first time BIT Innova, a gallery of novelties among which nine avant-garde proposals stand out, that have been selected by a professional jury, among all those presented to this platform by the exhibitors of the Fair.

The objective of BIT Innova is to offer participating companies a tool to support the communication and promotion of new products and services shown at the fair and that stand out for their innovative nature. An added value for exhibitors and visitors who will find in this selection of novelties some of the most significant lines in which companies are working, both in terms of technology and design and functionalities.

For the selection of these proposals the jury, composed of professionals from the sector of accredited prestige, representatives of prescribers and users of the products, and experts in audiovisual technology, has valued the improvements in terms of the degree of innovation, ease of integration into systems, as well as learning and use, functionality and applications.

Solutions to improve the quality of audio broadcasts on radio and television; an advanced connectivity system for high-speed trains; an application for virtual study in real time that allows, among other things, convert the presenter to a 3D object within the virtual set; a cloud computing service that offers the opportunity to have a video streaming product anywhere, anytime; an end-to-end data analytics platform that meets the analytics needs of any video content provider; an all-in-one team developed for video assistance in all types of shootings; a family of encoders and decoders that offers a complete set of functionalities; and a hardware encoder for live news coverage, of reduced size and weight, that allows to dispense with mobile units and other equipment, are the proposals that stand out in this first edition of BIT Innova.

The nine proposals selected are: Phoenix Alio, On The Move, Infinity Set, C21 Live Cloud, Integrated Video Insights (IVI), Ovide Smart Assist, Avantos, Smart-telecaster Zao H265 and VSNExplorer integrated with Microsoft Azure Media Services.

Phoenix Alio. Aeq (Stand 14C02)

AEQ Phoenix AlioThis portable IP audiocodec for high-quality audio broadcasts on radio and television Aeq has been designed for high quality audio broadcasts and very low delay, with mono or stereo operation in the sending and return of program and option, that is activated by license, of a second communication channel, mono or stereo, for technical coordination or backup, ideal for TV.

Features individual bass and treble control adjustment for each input channel, adapting the particularities of the voice of each speaker, or correcting defects of the external signal.

In addition to the high-performance Opus algorithm, Phoenix Alio incorporates the coding algorithms required by the EBU-TECH standard 3326 to communicate with third-party codecs and the proprietary AEQ LD Extend low-delay algorithm, to communicate with other AEQ codecs that do not have OPUS algorithms.

Features free remote control software that integrates into the Phoenix Control app, common with other AEQ Phoenix codecs, facilitating configuration, audio routing, the choice of channel, the transmission mode and the encoding algorithm, showing in VU meters the levels of incoming and outgoing audio to each codec.

In addition, Alio incorporates a sound mixer window that allows you to remotely regulate the volume and tonality of each sound source, as well as select the sources that are sent to each output.

On The Move. Aicox Solutions (Stand 14C05)

Antenna-1The On The Move connectivity system has been developed by Indra, Aicox Solutions E Hispasat to be integrated into a global solution for the provision of connectivity and in-flight entertainment services, Satellite, for High Speed Trains.

This solution proposes the use of a small satellite antenna, compatible with all models of high-speed trains operating in Spain and a satellite platform optimized for railway conditions on high-speed trains.

The satellite system allows to provide an Internet service, in-flight entertainment and, above all, video streaming, that it would not be possible to provide without it. The complete solution is available for the telco operator to integrate easily and quickly with its 3G/4G network and with the available content to offer the train operator.

Infinity Set. Brainstorm Multiemedia (Stand 14D08A)

Infinity SetInfinity Set is an application for virtual study in real time. Your TrackFree base technology, exclusive of Brainstorm Multiemedia, allows to carry out a large part of the camera movements and deploy a depth of field similar to that of traditional tracking systems on the market, but at the cost of a trackless system and with its same ease of handling.

TrackFree allows you to convert the presenter into a real 3D object within the virtual set (instead of being a simple 2D projection, as in other developers), which adds volume to the presenter. It can make you interact with other 3D objects and be projected as augmented reality in real environments.

C21 Live Cloud. Cires21 (Stand 14A09)

Not only does it allow the provision of Cires21 products virtualized in the cloud, but this service adapts to any business model thanks to its integration with on-site platforms formed by appliances or software., adapting to coding needs.

The ease of immediate sizing of any Cires21 product and the possibilities of pay-per-use or flat rate allows to provide new experiences in multi-device streaming. Among its innovative aspects, the coding capacity stands out., recording, edition, decoding and monitoring of your audiovisual content so that it can be viewed on any device with the best quality.

Integrated Video Insights. Ericsson Spain (Stand 14C01)

Ericsson IVIIntegrated Video Insights (IVI) is an end-to-end data analysis platform that was developed by Ericsson Spain thinking about the audiovisual industry and that is focused on improving two aspects of any audiovisual content provider: operational and commercial, and marketing.

Its innovation lies in the contribution of a multi-domain solution, that covers the analytics needs of any video content provider in any segment, either OTT, IPTV, cable, satellite or terrestrial television. In addition, can be integrated with other data sources from other domains, achieving a much more detailed granularity and level of analytics.

Smart Assist. Ovide (Stand 14B23)

Ovide Smart AssistTeams Ovide Smart Assist have been developed for video assistance in film shoots, advertising, Video clips, Documentaries, Etc.

They are 'all-in-one' equipment that can be transported to any filming set comfortably and without extra accessories.

Work with QTake, the most widely used video assistance software in the film industry (developed by the company In2Core).

Avantos. Sapec (Stand 14B25)

Sapec AvantosThe Avantos VHE5210/VHD5210 family of HEVC/H.265 decoders and decoders Sapec offers a complete set of functionalities that includes support for formats 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 8-bit and 10-bit both interlaced and progressive SD and HD.

Its compression efficiency, with a high perceptual quality thanks to the use of Main profiles, Main10 and Main 422 10 by HEVC, as well as its very low latency, allows operators and broadcasters a sharp reduction in their operating costs by allowing a reduction in bandwidth by up to one 50%.

Smart-telecaster Zao H265. Star Communications (Stand 14A25)

To ensure confidentiality and ensure an optimal level of security in the transmission, allows data encryption using the AES 256bit protocol.
