Panasonic PT-RZ660 wins blind laser projector competition organized by Pure AV
This manufacturer's technology prevailed over other laser systems 6.000 lumens from other important suppliers on the market, according to the estimation of professionals from different sectors, who made their assessment without knowing which projector was reproducing the image at all times.
The laser projector competition recently organized by Pure OFF at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester had professionals from the education environment on its jury, health and business, who evaluated, without knowing which equipment was reproducing the image at all times, laser systems 6.000 lumens from companies like Canon, Christie, Digital Projection, Epson, NEC, Panasonic, Peerless, Samsung and Sony.
For this test, the jury valued uniformity, the shine, the contrast, the color reproduction and gray scale of each equipment, in which the DLP projector 1 chip PT-RZ660 de Panasonic achieved first place, with a score of 41,2 on 50.
To make the competition more objective, manufacturers used standard lenses and content came from a single laptop, which was distributed via an HDMI connection with cables of identical length. Pure AV staff housed all projectors in a closet to ensure the verdict was based solely on image quality.
As Gareth Day pointed out, Panasonic Visual Systems Group Director, “The company has achieved a leadership position in the field of laser projection with the widest range of products on the market. We were one of the pioneers of laser projection technology and, as a result, We enjoy great credibility in terms of performance and reliability. The results of this competition endorse this position”.
Designed to ensure heavy use and long-term lasting shine in education applications, museums, exhibitions and digital signage, The PT-RZ660 projector offers high resolution and a brightness of up to 6.000 lumens. Equipped with dual laser modules, a dust-resistant optical block and a long-lasting laser engine, This system provides maintenance-free performance for up to 20.000 hours.
