Cybersecurity in AV systems
Besides, the two main associations of the audiovisual industry, InfoComm International y give in, have come together to present a joint conference on cybersecurity at ISE 2017. This is an event aimed at integrators, consultants and end users who want to learn how to better protect networked audiovisual systems from growing threats.
Como parte del ‘AV/IT Friday’ from ISE 2017, The two associations will address the issue by warning of the growing risks faced by the commercial and residential sectors. Recent digital assaults – including a powerful denial of service attack (DDoS) in the United States that affected internet services – have highlighted the dangers that networked devices and the Internet of Things can pose (IoT), and the growing importance of cybersecurity.
“Now that AV systems are part of the IT network, AV integrators and manufacturers must understand the implications and adopt a safety culture. Working together with Cedia, “We have presented some critical learning objectives around networked AV security that will be beneficial to attendees in the commercial and residential sectors.”, comments Pamela Taggart.
The conference will be moderated by Mitch Klein, CEO de Z-Wave Alliance. It will include a series of sessions 30 minutes that will cover how hackers can penetrate a customer's network, to risk assessment and mitigation strategies, and incident responses. The sessions will end with a panel discussion that will offer a broader view of the problem of network AV security, including shared experiences from both commercial and residential projects.
