IoT solution from TeamViewer and Harman to monitor smart buildings and devices

The fruit of the collaboration of both companies combines Harman's Smart Building management system with TeamViewer's remote monitoring and control solutions.

The software provider for digital networking and collaboration, TeamViewer, has reached a collaboration agreement with Harman to develop an IoT solution dedicated to monitoring and managing smart buildings and devices.

The new solution combines Harman's Smart Building management system and IoT gateways with TeamViewer's remote monitoring and control tools.

Haman customers use a gateway device that monitors building status across more than 500 different types of sensors. With this new dedicated IoT solution, Service technicians and operations managers can manage this IoT gateway through TeamViewer.

The status will be displayed on the Harman Smart Building dashboard, with additional details available in TeamViewer's own monitoring panel. The solution not only displays critical information collected from the variety of existing sensors, but also monitors the sensors and gateways themselves.

Service technicians and operations managers can receive notifications about sensors, including common issues such as connectivity or battery failures, in addition to having the possibility of accessing the gateway to install updates or solve problems remotely.

During the celebration of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, which will take place between 27 of February and 2 March, A demonstration of the fruit of this collaboration will be held at the Harman International stand (Hall 2 Stand 2K30).
