VIA Technologies, represented in Spain, Portugal and Chile for Anatronic, has presented the VIA SOM-6X50 IoT Acceleration Platform card that allows speeding up the development of various Internet of Things projects (IoT) in digital signage applications, interactive kiosks and ticketing (Ticketing) automated.

The VIA SOM-6X50 plate is a system-on-module (SEAM) ultra compact (6,76×4,3 cm) what, integrating a VIA Cortex-A9 SoC from 1.0 GHz, Provides an optimal balance between performance and multimedia functions, into a flexible solution for a wide range of IoT and HMI automation applications.

I/O and display expansion options include two USB ports 2.0, a USB port 2.0 device, one HDMI port, a single-channel 18/24-bit LVDS panel, six UART, a CSI camera input, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, once GPIO y un slot SD Card.

The VIA SOMDB1 multi-I/O evaluation carrier card is also available and a custom motherboard is possible to suit specific application needs..

The features of the VIA SOM-6X50 are completed with Linux BSP with kernel (3.4.5), bootloader source codes (bootloader) and a Tool Chain to tune the kernel and support VIA SOMDB1 carrier card I/O and other hardware functions.
