Antonio traugott leaves the General Directorate of IAB Spain
With the departure of Traugott after twelve years in office, the advertising association, marketing and digital communication in Spain opens a process of change.
IAB Spain, advertising association, marketing and digital communication in Spain, opens a process of change in its general direction, which in recent years was directed by Antonio Traugott.
According to the association's statement, “during the last decade, Digital has become fundamental in all aspects of marketing and communication, developing at unprecedented speed. In said development, IAB has played a key role through the implementation of technical standards, promoting the use of good practices; promoting critical research on advertising and digital marketing, and with a clear focus on training”.
In this sense, The IAB board of directors points out that “we are facing a new turning point, in a parenthesis of a certain maturity in the middle of a full revolution. The arrival of the G5 will take us to a level of immediacy and unimaginable richness in the transmission of content; The proliferation of connected devices will lead to an explosion in data generation where 'big' will sound small; Artificial intelligence will make personalization at scale possible in an accurate way, and we will no longer talk about digital investment quota”.
The work of the current board of directors, represented entirely by agents of change in the world of marketing and communication, under the presidency of Beatriz Medina, and the vice presidency of Ángel Nebot, “has focused on establishing new foundations in the association to successfully face the challenges and opportunities of the immediate future.”, and as part of it it opens a process of change in the general management of IAB in Spain, led to date by Antonio Traugott”.
As the statement points out, Antonio Traugott and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) in Spain “they have agreed to separate their paths after twelve years of employment relationship. Traugott came to the association in 2005 with the aim of professionalizing the entity, make it grow and evolve at an institutional level, and boost the advertising sector, marketing and digital communication.
The former general director of IAB Spain has posted a video on his Twitter account (in the first image), in which he gives thanks for his twelve years at the forefront of the solution. As Traugott assures: “It has been a real privilege.”, an honor and a pleasure to be at the head of IAB all these years. I can only thank all the members of each of the boards of directors, to the associates, to the staff and all the professionals in the sector with whom I have had contact, the deal, the relationship, the affection, learning and countless other things that have given me. I only take good things from IAB”.
Representing all members of the board of directors, Beatriz Medina has said that “after the work of Antonio, Today the IAB has more than two hundred leading communication and technology companies among its members., that make up more than eighteen technical commissions that work on the current and future needs and opportunities of the sector; develops more than twenty annual investigations and more than thirty sector events. The work done so far is impressive., but the one that remains ahead of us, impresses more”.
