Shenzhen relies on Absen's NPP Led curved screen on its path as a smart city
Longgang Operations Center features the largest curved NPP Led display of this type in the world, supplied by Absen, composed of 798 panels, with ultra thin pich pixel 1,2 mm.
More than 103 million pixels is what the new NPP Led screen offers - to date the largest in the world, con 166,9 square meters and 800 cabinets-, that the authorities of the Chinese city of Shenzhen have installed in the Longgang Operations Center (LOC), technological core of the strategy to become a smart city model and improve the management and services it offers to its citizens.
This curved NPP LED panel, supplied by Chinese manufacturer Roll call and belonging to its CR series with narrow or thin pixel pixels -specifically 1,2 NPP-, is composed of 798 panels that offer a resolution equivalent to 12,5 Ultra High Resolution units – 4K, according to data published by this company, to configure a huge visual surface of 25,6 meters long by 6,5 wide.
Thanks to your NPP of 1,2 mm, this giant screen solution, with a curve of 37,1 meters radius and specifically developed for indoor control rooms, plays a key role in information exchange, Comprehensive data and graphs from the LOC and across government departments, showing ultra-clear and sharp images.
This is what Wu Yanbin points out, LOC project manager: “we had the dilemma of choosing LCD, DLP o Led. We consider that LCD and DLP displays would show unacceptable gaps for a demanding control room environment, but we knew we were right when we tested the CR1.2 display and saw that each panel fit perfectly with the next, without leaving a black bezel, not to mention the design of the power and signal backup. That's why we chose Absen”.
The screen also integrates cutting-edge technologies such as CrystalView and PreciseAlign, for redundancy and data power, with low energy consumption, to provide high reliability and performance, as well as an optimal viewing experience in this critical environment, with the ability to receive and display 181 signs through 105 windows at 720p (40 a 1.080p y 10 at 4K resolution).
Each panel is equipped with two power systems and two receiving cards, so that the power and signal can be switched to the backup equipment when necessary so that this display system will never be turned off.
The installation and operationalization of this enormous facility has also been a challenge., as the Absen sales director explains, Zhang Yongfeng: “design such a huge high-resolution curved screen in just 85 days, from production to installation, It has been a great challenge. Additionally, the center was still under construction and filled with dust during the installation process., But we successfully carried out this difficult task.”.
