The OVR18 Observatory reveals the secrets of the Carmen Thyssen Museum
The CEO and founder of Opossum, Gabriel Ruiz, will present the project that his company has carried out for the Carmen Thyssen Málaga Museum and in which the Villalón Palace villa has been recreated through virtual reality.
The secrets hidden by Carmen Thyssen Museum will be revealed for the first time in virtual reality during Virtual Reality Observatory 2018 (OVR18), which will take place on the days 18 y 19 of July in the Digital Content Hub from Malaga.
The Melilla company Opossum Studios Virtual Builders It was already in the first edition of the OVR and surprised everyone with a virtual reality recreation of the walled area of Melilla.
Gabriel Ruiz, its founder and CEO, will present the project that Opossum has carried out for the Carmen Thyssen Málaga Museum, in which the Villalón Palace villa has been recreated using VR, Roman house that emerged during excavations on the land occupied by the museum today.
In relation to virtual reality applications in tourism, archeology and museum spaces, Gabriel will offer the presentation “Current state of photogrammetry in virtual reality and its importance”.
Photogrammetry is a technique that the Melilla virtual reality programmer masters, through which three-dimensional information can be obtained by overlapping two two-dimensional images and which is of vital importance in the recreation of spaces to make them almost indistinguishable from reality.

Speakers from NASA are already confirmed on the agenda for this second edition of the VR Observatory in Malaga, Cambridge University, Nokia, Vodafone, YBVR,Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid and University of Malaga.
