Moment Factory transforms a historic New York building into a 3D 'ship of dreams'
The new videomapping attraction, denominada Dream Ship DestiNY, makes visitors feel like they are on a classic European ship upon arrival in Manhattan.
Inaugurated a few days ago in New York, Dream Ship DestiNY is an innovative 360º multimedia experience created by Moment Factory and co-produced with Cipriani, that has transformed an emblematic building of this North American city into a virtual ship, in which visitors experience the tour of Manhattan Island thanks to visual and projection technology.
As Moment Factory points out, The journey begins from the moment the visitor embarks on D.S.. DestiNY, “in which we transform a building into a passenger ship, one of a kind, where you embark on an ocean of dreams, traveling from the old world to the limits of his imagination”.
This new 3D projection attraction has transformed the architecture of the historic Cunard building located in the heart of the Wall Street financial district, in lower manhattan, and former headquarters of the luxury cruise company Cunard Steamship Line, which is currently an event space managed by the hospitality company Cipriani and until the year 2000 It was a branch.
The 360º mapping work has been developed and delivered by the multimedia creation specialist Moment Factory, in collaboration with Cipriani, respecting the requirements established by this protected building, in which from the past 24 August offers an interactive and immersive experience of a trip to New York.
This show has some similarities with the project that Moment Factory carried out for a well-known church in Montreal, for which an impressive videomapping was created with the aim of attracting a large mass of visitors who, by purchasing their ticket, helped maintain this historic building..
D.S. DestiNY offers visitors a dynamic mosaic, a digital canvas in 360º of light, color and sound, of the many visions, illusions and hopes that the passengers traveling on the ship had, coming from Europe, upon arrival in the land of opportunities, upon entering New York.
