Crux brewery expands its facilities with a networked sound system from Symetrix
This quaint Oregon establishment has added a new space for live outdoor concerts and an indoor dining room with a patio. To achieve a quality audio system, a centralized network solution has been installed around the Symetrix Jupiter panels. 8 DSP y ARC-2e.
Located in the center of scenic Bend (Oregon), with a beautiful view of the Cascade mountain range, the establishment is located Crux Fermentation, where it is offered, in an informal and welcoming atmosphere, the possibility of tasting different types of beer.
The tasting room is located in the center of the premises, which is built in a former automatic transmission plant. Crux has expanded its facilities with a new space for live outdoor concerts and an indoor dining room with patio.
To provide a high quality audio system the local contractor AudioVisual Bend has designed and installed a centralized network solution around the wall panels Symetrix Jupiter 8 DSP y ARC-2e.
“Crux is a very picturesque place, in which a major remodeling has been carried out and it has gone from being a simple bar, with a brewery and a small culinary offer, to become an outdoor concert area”, comments Tony Sprando, AudioVisual Bend designer/project manager.
Before the remodel, Crux had two different audio systems and neither of them were adequate. One was for microphones and live acts, and the other was designed for residential use.
AV Bend replaced both with a modern commercial-grade audio network with four zones. Outdoors, there is a space with a live deck; while inside is the tasting room, with a louder and more festive musical atmosphere; that contrasts with the dining room and the entrance, where the music stays quieter.
“The network allows audio transmission in any direction. If there is a small act of a person inside, can be transmitted outside. And if there is a gang outside, playing in the concert space, can also be transmitted indoors. An 'all-weather patch' panel has been installed on the exterior cover. The bands just have to pick it up, plug in and they are ready to go”, observe the washing.
The sound is sent to the amplifiers Lab group and to the speakers LLC mast mount, ideal for use outdoors. The speakers JBL CRV, mounted horizontally, cover the patio, while additional vertically placed CRVs cover most of the interior area. JBL Control series hanging speakers are located in the tasting room and entry.
“They have digital signage with menus and everything is related to this”, Aggregate Neck. One of the main reasons Sprando and the AV Bend team chose Symetrix is that the processors are easy to program and the controllers are simple to use.. AudioVisual Bend makes many updates, often replacing outdated systems with updated networks based on Symetrix processors.
“Many of the systems we replace rely on remote controls and various connectivity devices that must be operated manually to obtain audio in the areas. You have to go back to the IT closet to make things work. We replaced that with a Symetrix DSP, and you can maintain control, but it is managed from outside, in the listening environment, with three buttons on an ARC wall plate, or wirelessly, from a mobile or tablet, using ARC-Web”.
