The recent celebration of the 130 anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, emblem of the capital of France, it has been an event and lighting show that for three days, with three passes of 12 daily minutes, no one has wanted to get lost, from Trocadero Square to the historic Jena Bridge over the Seine.

An extraordinary double-propeller lighting design that has had the power of sixty Proteus Hybrid luminaires from the manufacturer Elation Professional; weather-resistant multi-environmental moving heads that were an integral part of this light and sound show, supplied by technical solution provider Magnum, who has participated in more than 95% of Eiffel Tower events from 2004.

Renowned set designer Bruno Seillier, together with the technical director of the Eiffel Tower, has designed this light show, programmed by Clément Lelevé, responsible for Magnum, in which a series of moments from the history of this iconic iron tower are recreated, including its design and construction by Gustave Eiffel, the special broadcasts that France made from this tall communications tower during the two World Wars and other notable events, including the recent fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral.

In this sense, Bruno Seillier "wanted to present the tower as the 'dna of Paris', for which he placed the sixty Proteus Hybrid moving heads at the top of the tower, creating an innovative double-propeller design that was mounted on the second platform, so that it offered a beautiful design symmetry, sending powerful beams of light to the Parisian sky and with unprecedented visual effects", explains Jérôme Chupin.

Climbing technicians spent three nights at the Eiffel Tower installing these multifunctional lights with IP65 protection, as they have already made other similar equipment with these systems in important light shows, such as New Year's Eve at the Burj Khalifa in the Emirate of Dubai and at the North American Space Needle in Seattle.

"So far., Proteus Hybrid is the only luminaire that has exceptional lighting qualities, with the possibility of running them in all environments -underlines Chupin-. Elation's previous experience at Burj Khalifa in Dubai was decisive in the decision to reassure the Eiffel Tower's Technical Services Department and give the go-ahead to hang these powerful luminaires.".
