How many years have you been working in the AV industry?? What specifically is the work you do??

I started working in the audiovisual industry in the year 2003. Since then, I have performed multiple tasks, from working in pre-sales or design, system commissioning and even project management and consulting. In the last five years I have worked mainly as an audiovisual project manager.

Why did you decide to get CTS certification??

Certifications are a great way to demonstrate professional skill in a specific area. In the case of CTS certification, This is especially important, given that it values both our industry and the professionals that make it up. CTS certification contributes to improving the quality of audiovisual work.

Having been fortunate enough to acquire international experience in a large number of audiovisual projects, I have been able to verify that the CTS certification is widely accepted around the world and offers differential value to the professionals who hold it..

I learned that, as a global industry and regardless of the particularities and terminology of each country or region, we all share the same base, that we can also use to add value to our industry and help us stand out from the crowd.

What does CTS certification mean to you?? How has it benefited you??

The CTS certification is a way to impartially demonstrate knowledge about our activity to clients, adding a differentiating element with respect to other sectors., not specialized in AV, who have traditionally participated with varied results, in audiovisual projects.

Personally, I think that -although there is still a lot to do to make the certification known among professionals, as well as its recognition in some regions-, CTS certification offers professional recognition and helps demonstrate a professional commitment to our industry.

Among the many projects he mentions, Which ones would you give as an example in which the CTS certification has helped you obtain or deliver it with better results??

In the recent projects I have worked on, Having CTS certification was one of the essential requirements. Working with professionals with CTS certification is increasingly in demand by companies in the audiovisual sector., given that it allows them to demonstrate the ability to develop audiovisual projects with all the guarantees to their clients..

After achieving your CTS, went ahead in order to obtain a CTS-D. What have been the advantages of continuing to expand your knowledge and delve deeper into a new certification??

If you intend to design systems in a company, It is the natural evolution as a professional. The same advantages and values that CTS certification entails are achieved, but provides additional specialization in design.

What work was involved in obtaining CTS and CTS-D certifications??

I have prepared to obtain both the CTS and the CTS-D through different means, including AVIXA training. As with any other certification program, It is advisable to prepare for the exams. Even if you already work in the industry and have experience, there are always many things to learn, both in terms of terminology and international practices.

What type of projects have you worked on?? Is there anyone in particular that you would like to review??

In recent years I have worked mainly on cultural and museum projects in different countries. I recently worked on a very interesting project., but at the same time it was a great challenge: the National Museum of Qatar, a Doha. I am currently working on the Sustainability Pavilion for the Expo 2020.
