This skyscraper 55 flats, managed by the international firm Hines, has rebuilt the lobby with an innovative design. It has Led lighting and new finishes with stone walls.. Hines partnered with architecture and design firm Executioner for the immersive initiative 1100 Experience. This features hours of dynamically generated content around various topics.

Besides, The screen displays digital art and content created by Houston's most famous visual and performing arts institutions, non-profit institutions, university students, local artists, NASA and many others. Three Texas universities have already signed up to contribute content and are working to adapt their Digital Art departments' curricula around the new Led canvas.

He 1100 Experience is designed to constantly generate original content, based on four main themes: Beauty in data, Status change, Imagination Room and Living Wall. The project presented was a collaboration of Gensler's digital experience design group and Brand Design teams, using the experience of its Houston and Chicago offices. The original content was generated by the digital developers of Float4.

Project development

As part of the lobby renovation, Hines and Gensler turned to NanoLumens to design a display that would engage the community with content from local organizations, museums and universities.

The design integrator Conference Technologies was in charge of installing the LED wall in the lobby 175 square meters, a solution that is offered as a work of art with great visual impact. Big Size Direct View Led, combined with limited access, five meters, between the wall and the escalator, It meant that safety and innovative techniques were also vital throughout the process.
