Castelein relies on the Bose Professional ShowMatch system for its events in Mexico

This line array speaker system has been used inside the Blackberry Auditorium, as well as at the Angela Peralta Theater, an open-air venue in the Mexican capital.

The Mexican rental company Castelein Audiovisual Services has completed her first year as a user of the ShowMatch DeltaQ line array loudspeaker system from Bose Professional, for your events.

The last ones carried out in the Mexican capital, a concert by the legendary composer and singer Gino Vannelli and the Polanco Jazz Festival, just a week apart, can summarize the wide variety of applications, scenarios and conditions in which Castelein technicians have tested the possibilities of the ShowMatch system at the service of those responsible for audio, lecturers, musicians and audiences during the past 2019.

The system has shown its advantages in indoor and outdoor environments, since the production of the Gino Vannelli concert took place inside the Blackberry Auditorium, while the last edition of the Polanco Jazz Festival took place in its traditional open-air venue of the Ángela Peralta Theater.

“This was the first big concert of our new company, Tonight's Cast, so we had to leave an excellent first impression -explains its founder Said Macari-. “We needed a system that met the production and sound quality expectations that Gino Vannelli demands.. The system available in the auditorium was not sufficient, so we had to decide between adding more boxes, or replace it with a complete system like ShowMatch, as we did”.

To cover the different areas of the two levels of the Blackberry Auditorium, The ShowMatch system configuration included thirteen modules hanging on each side, divided as follows: ten SM5, two SM10 and one SM20.

Sixteen SMS118 subwoofers were installed below and in front of the stage., while another six SM20 modules were placed above the stage to serve as front fill.

The amplification was carried out with three PowerSoft X8 and four x4 connected via Dante, while the system control was done through the ArmoniaPlus software 1.3.1, also from this manufacturer.

For your part, the 11th edition of the Polanco Jazz Festival, produced by the Schwarz Marketing company & Production at the Ángela Peralta Theater, an outdoor venue with capacity for 2.500 people in Mexico DC, It featured top-notch bands and soloists in its two-day duration.

One of the challenges is that this venue does not have the necessary infrastructure to hang a line array system from the ceiling of its stage., so generally production uses a pair of tower lifts, genie type, installed on the sides of the stage.

However, on this occasion, The model of towers available obstructed the public and did not offer the necessary security, so the Castelein team had to improvise on the fly and propose a new option for the assembly of ShowMatch.

The solution was to mount the equipment in columns stack, using a pair of subwoofers as a base and to achieve greater height. The system configuration featured two columns of eight SM5 modules mounted on stack, doce subwoofers SMS118, six on each side of the stage and six SM20 modules in the front fill. Three PowerSoft X8 and four X4 amplifiers, connected through Dante completed the system that was controlled through ArmoniaPlus software.
