LG installs its first transparent OLED screens in China's subway

The Korean company plans to expand the supply of transparent OLED displays to major subway stations in cooperation with railway companies and subway glass manufacturers.
Transparent OLED displays are arousing interest not only from mobility customers in the automotive fields, airplanes and the subway, but also from sectors such as housing and smart construction industries. According to LG, Transparent OLED systems have the advantage of maximizing optical transmittance, so they don't need a backlight.
According to the consulting company Prescient & Strategic Intelligence, The transparent screen market is expected to grow at an average rate of 46% annually and reach the 4.930 millions of dollars in 2024.
