Arthur Holm customizes its UnderCover solution for the Altenkirchen sparkasse

The savings bank of this German city has integrated a complete retractable monitor proposal into its conference room table, microphone and connectors, integrated by its partner Comm-Tec.

The German city of Altenkirchen, located in the area of ​​Reniani-Palatinado, approximately to 40 km east of Bonn, it is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde (collective municipality) Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld. They are withparka, as the savings banks of German-speaking countries are known, that are managed locally and in cooperation with regional governments, has completed a comprehensive project for its conference room.

The project started when Comm-Tec, partner in Germany Arthur Holm, visited the savings bank from Altenkirchen, since they were looking for a solution that would integrate as discreetly as possible into a sober wooden table, oval shaped, for thirteen attendees.

The challenge was to provide a complete solution that included monitor, microphone and connectors that could be retracted without problems into a high-quality wooden surface, leaving the slightest mark on the design of the room and furniture. Nothing should be visible when this technological equipment did not have to be used, thus optimizing the flexibility of use of space and respecting its design.

Taking into account these needs, manufacturer, systems integrator and end customer coordinated the customized DynamicX2 UnderCover solution, that incorporates all the required elements: DynamicX2 retractable monitor 17 inches; DynamicTalk microphone system; two European outlets; an audio jack; a screen port; of RJ45; three free buttons; one VGA input, another HDMI and two USB connectors.

Along with this technological equipment, The integrated solution has also taken care of elements such as the design of flexible spaces, automated management, invisible and discreet integration into boardroom furniture, synchronization of movements,…all linked to Arthur Holm's patented UnderCover technology.

As explained by the company, “UnderCover is an ingenious solution, but simple, composed of an automated cover plate synchronized with the monitor. This patented automated flap mechanism allows the monitor (plus gooseneck microphones for audio conferencing and flexible connectivity options) disappear neatly under furniture with the simple touch of a button, or through a remote control system”.

UnderCover lid slides down into the table, allowing the monitor to be raised off the desk. This motorized system can also be applied to the main connections and customization options offered by the manufacturer, like microphones, voting systems, channel selectors, speakers, power sockets and connectors (RJ-45, HDMI y USB).
