Sharp Europe creates IT services division after purchasing ITpoint
The company will also rely on its European Technology Support Center in Warsaw, that serves more than seventy companies uninterruptedly.
The acquisition by Sharp Europa from the Swiss company ITpoint AG (ITP), specialized in consulting and development and integration of solutions and services to facilitate the digital transformation of companies, has motivated the creation of an IT services division for the European market.
The multinational adds this new division to the rest of the business areas it has in Europe, like professional screens, printing equipment, Point of sale and portable devices, and represents a strategic decision to become a comprehensive provider of solutions for the environment called smart office, which is characterized by connectivity, interactivity and mobility.
Besides, Sharp will support this new division in its European Technology Support Center, located in Warsaw (Poland), currently offering assistance 24/7 and in several languages to more than seventy European companies.
Cybersecurity and infrastructure monitoring to detect and solve problems before they lead to a major incident, These are some of the services offered by this center.
ITpoint is the second IT solutions company acquired by Sharp, after the purchase of the British company Complete I.T.(CIT) in the year 2019. The company's new European IT services division will be led by the founder of CIT, Colin Blumenthal, recently appointed vice president of IT services for Europe.
“The creation of this division is a strategic milestone that will transform Sharp's business in Europe and will allow us to continue investing and focus on growing a portfolio of services that adapts to the changing needs of our current and future customers and adds value”, Blumenthal has pointed out.
