The exhibition Taiwan Acts!, that is being exhibited in the Architekturmuseum, presents a digital image of almost 780 inches of Taiwan cityscape, made up of five projectors ViewSonic LS800WU.

ViewSonic has been associated with A.M. TUM Architecture Museum in Germany and the Taiwanese commissioners Chen-Yu Chiu and Chun-Hsiung Wang, to create the immersive exhibition, ¡Taiwan Acts! showcasing Taiwan's various architectural initiatives and their social influence. This innovative exhibition facilitates cultural exchange by fusing the digital and the physical thanks to the projector ViewSonic LS800WU.

The Taiwan Acts exhibition! showcases more than one hundred socially committed Taiwanese architectural projects with themes ranging from social, economic and humanitarian to the cultural, varying in scale and context, showing your intention to advance justice and equity in society. It is also the first comprehensive presentation of this topic in Europe, with a large number of photographs, videos, interviews, models and other elements in multiple media and physical forms.

“Our purpose in organizing this exhibition is to show the autonomy of Taiwanese architecture and the dynamic social role it contributes to the global community.. The exhibition focuses on socially committed architectural projects, from humble origins, what sets it apart from other mainstream-oriented architecture exhibitions”, explica Chen-Yu Chiu.

Advanced technology allows this exhibition to differ from traditional ones, as it creates an immersive atmosphere to attract visitors. Upon entering the gallery a digital image is displayed, of almost 780 inches, Taiwan cityscape. This is possible thanks to the five ViewSonic LS800WU laser projectors.

The LS800WU laser projector offers 5.500 high brightness and color lumens, and the images look clear and sharp, without being affected by natural light. It can freely rotate 360° vertically and has a 90° portrait mode, allowing creative applications with easy angle adjustment and flexibility.

Besides, offers a useful life of up to 20.000 hours with environmentally friendly energy efficiency and provides continuous operation during 24 hours of the day, addressing sustainability needs while providing product utility, perfect for large venues to display contents 24 hours of the day.

Taiwan acts! – Architecture in social dialogue

The Taiwan Acts exhibition! can be seen in A. M TUM Architecture Museum (Munich – Germany) until the 3 October 2021. All exhibited projects are classified into five chapters based on their locations and focuses:

Making Places in Yilan: The revitalization of Yilan, a city located in the far northeast of Taiwan, by architect Sheng-Yuan Huang and his team. The main objective of their work is to heal the collective memory of the community with imagination and restore the identity of its residents..

Developing Local Communities: It focuses on ten local development projects to improve the community in various aspects and promote participatory democracy, sustainable development, human rights, economic opportunities, equality and social justice, through design, architecture and urban planning.

Building Architectural Autonomy: Creative approach of eight architecture firms working in Taiwan that address specific social and environmental issues through their design philosophies and architectural expression.

Building for Global Citizens: Presentation of the humanitarian architectural work of three Taiwanese architects, focused on the reconstruction of homes after a disaster.

Regenerating Hsinchu City: Hsinchu Urban Renewal, a coastal city in eastern Taiwan, to transform and regenerate the deteriorated urban landscape.
