Illuminate Ávila 2021 creates a large projection canvas in honor of the heroes of the pandemic

Con 1.700 m2 of video projection surface, lighting and sound on its wall, Illuminate Ávila 2021 has been celebrated again, offering an emotional show performed by Rental SP y Framemov.

After being suspended last year due to COVID-19, he Ávila City Council has organized the mapping show again, lighting and sound Illuminate Ávila, which has had as its protagonists professionals from all fields who have been, and continue today, in the daily fight against the pandemic, and to society in general.

The show, that was celebrated the past 20 y 21 August in six daily passes - with a limited area for 250 personas, and other spaces such as the esplanade of the Lienzo Norte Congress and Exhibition Center of the city-, has counted on specialized companies Rental SP, as successful bidder of the project and with Pepe Perez as responsible, y Framemov, as content producer with Jorge Escobar in front.

This videomapping show has shown the faces of the pandemic: sanitary, members of security forces and emergency forces and all professionals who worked during confinement, in an act of tribute in the form of light, image and sound.

With a surface of about 1.700 m2 of projection (100 meters wide by 17 long), this year Illuminate Ávila has reached the highest level of luminosity to date in the projections made on the wall, con 90.000 lumens.

Video projection

As video show equipment, Rental SP has used three 3DLP laser projectors of the model RZ31 of Panasonic, each with a power of 31.000 lumens in its central part, controlled with software Resolume Arena 7.0.

Besides, an image processor has been used Barco S3 for video signal management and backup transition, with two servers with graphics 12 Gbps (one as primary and one as backup) and fiber systems Lightware.

Sound and lighting

The sound equipment was mainly supported by the company's enclosures. L’Acoustics, specifically in twelve boxes of the model Kara; twelve two-way passive speakers Nice II and in equal number of subwoofer SB18.

The digital mixing console has been used for audio control. S21 of DiGiCo, along with the deployment of two fiber to audio systems to transport the signal to the four sound towers.

Twelve beam moving heads MH 7 of Martin and equal number of Led Wash DTS Nick 1201, along with eight units VL3000 of Vari-lite To create the frontal texture of the wall, they have composed the lighting system for the show.

All computers have been managed with the console Chamsys MQ80, and four DMX nodes have been deployed via RJ45 to transport the signal.
