Nexo ePS: professional sound equipment for fixed installations

The series Nexus ePS is made up of three two-way passive cabinets (eps6, ePS8 and ePS10), as well as the eLS400 subwoofer from 12 inches and the 15” eLS600.

Nexo has presented the new series ePS for professional installation, composed of three passive cabinets 2 channels and two associated subwoofer units. These are the first models in a range offering European engineering for budget-sensitive projects.

Based on 25 years of success with the PS series, Nexo engineers have taken a simple approach to this new range, reducing connection and mounting options, and taking advantage of new controller design and manufacturing techniques.

Designed for fixed installations, The ePS series brings together all the distinctive features of high-performance Nexo equipment, coverage patterns, Directional control and musical performance in compact trapezoidal wooden enclosures, with steel grilles for IP54 and IP55 certified weather resistance.

The ePS range is offered in three point source models with 6, 8 y 10”. Each cabinet includes an HF driver 1,4 ”and an LF driver, with Nexo's trademark rotating speaker design offering dispersion options to the user.

Presented in Baltic birch plywood, the models eps6, ePS8 y ePS10 offer a peak sound pressure of 125, 128 y 130 dB, respectively.

The ePS6 weighs 7 kilos, occupies a space of 367×200 x182 mm and has a frequency response of 90 Hz a 20 kHz. For your part, the ePS8 weighs 8 kilos, It has a profile of 425x252x227 mm and a frequency response of 80 Hz a 20 kHz.

The most powerful of the three models, the eps 10 pesa 14,8 kilos with dimensions of 533x318x283 mm and a frequency response of 70 Hz – 20 kHz.

All three cabinets are equipped with a wired strip for connection, which offers generic screw in/out connectors with a pitch of 2×7 mm. IP jacket protects connectors from moisture in outdoor applications. On each side of the cabinet, of the M6 with a pitch of 80 mm and an accessory M10 allow connection to U-bracket, the bumper or bolts.

The back of each speaker is equipped with three M6s with a pitch of 70 mm for wall mounting, both horizontally and vertically.

All units are finished in black structural paint (white and all other RAL colors are available on request), with UV-resistant acoustic fabric stretched over the front grille.

Subwoofers ePS

All Nexo speakers are paired with a dedicated subwoofer option, although they are compatible in phase with any manufacturer's model. In the case of the ePS Series, two compact subwoofers are being launched: he eLS400 of 12 inches and the eLS600 15”, that match the aesthetics of full-range cabinets.

The eLS400 is a compact 12” installation subwoofer that can be stacked or hung, thanks to its discreet and easy to integrate design. With a weight of 14,5 kilos has been conceived as the partner of the ePS6 and ePS8 cabinets.

The eLS600 weighs 26,3 kilos and uses a high-excursion 15” driver in a bass-reflex cabinet design, capable of delivering a maximum output of 136 dB. It is designed to partner with the ePS8 and ePS10.

Rectangular subwoofers width and height dimensions fit main cabinets. A dedicated accessory allows the ePS to be placed below the subwoofer, creating small footprint broadband systems that are visually pleasing.

On all four sides of the cabinet, two M10 fittings connect the eLS600 to the U-bracket, eye bolts or dedicated accessories. Unused M10 fittings can be used for additional rigging points, in areas where required.

The rear connection is made through two pairs (entry/exit) screw terminal blocks, while the included IP cover protects the connectors from moisture in outdoor applications.
