Casambi in Casa Baden Wurttemberg

The challenge posed by the project for Baden-Württemberg House in the expo 2020 was to establish a holistic lighting concept in a very limited time. Luminaires were installed omoa that withstand the high outdoor temperatures and the solution of Casambi to control the solution.

The German state of Baden-Württemberg is present in the expo 2020 dubai with a pavilion that has been designed under the theme "Feel the spirit of innovation". A space welcomes visitors to explore and discover the country with more than 40 innovation projects and a variety of cultural shows.

In this environment lighting is a key element and Casambi has provided its solution to wirelessly control the entire system.

The lighting management of the Baden-Württemberg House Pavilion was planned, developed and implemented in collaboration between Casambi, omoa, the Fraunhofer Institute of Engineering and Industrial Organization and Shreyon Technologies. The installation has been carried out by Nussli Satal Project Management.

"It was a challenge to establish a holistic lighting concept in the pavilion in a very limited time.. Qualitative luminaires had to be found that could withstand the high outside temperatures and at the same time be flexibly controllable”, explains Carl-Heinz Böhm, expert in omoa lighting and responsible for the lighting design of Baden-Württemberg House.

The lighting is based on temperature-resistant RX-T continuous row luminaires. In addition, the area of the screen, near the entrance of the Pavilion has special reflections, thanks to the omoa Floor Spotlights Multicolor solution, color-controllable and staggered lighting with Flex Stripes.

In the Cloud (a metal construction suspended from the ceiling inside), 40 omoa Flex Multicolor light channels guarantee an optimal light environment at all times. On the terrace (in addition to basic lighting) omoa Object Spotlights Flex are used.

Casambi was selected due to the ease of controlling both the most traditional luminaires, such as projectors and piping systems, such as strips and LED lighting , which need special intermediate modules for their control.

The Casambi solution was selected for its simplicity to control both the most traditional luminaires, such as spotlights and piping systems and Led strips (that normally need special intermediate modules for their control).

“Thanks to our innovative lighting concept it can be used flexibly, either for normal exhibitions or special events", adds Böhm.
