The show 'Teresa Illuminates Ávila', created and executed again by the Avila specialist Rental SP, This Saturday the events of the IV Centenary of the canonization of the saint begin, providing this year an immersive video projection environment, light and sound.
The facades of the plaza Chico Market of Ávila and of the church of Saint John the Baptist will become the largest projection screen for the 360º mapping, the largest so far carried out in the city, on the occasion of the IV Centenary of the canonization of Saint Teresa, designed and executed again by the Avila specialist Rental SP.
The light show, sound and video Teresa Ilumina Ávila will be held this Saturday, 12 March, and will have four passes from 20:30 at 22:00h, every half hour. The 360º projection will cover about 1.500 m2 of surface area facade, as they point out from Rental SP, the largest to date carried out in this city of the community of Castilla y León.
As in previous years, Rental SP will once again be the company that will carry out the mapping show, light and sound (more details in Digital AV, The images in this news correspond to the last edition), although on this occasion they have gone further to offer an immersive environment for viewers, with a technical and creative team of more than twenty-five people, in charge of the technical direction of Pepe Perez and of Jorge Escobar as creative director.
Surround Projection Mapping
For the production of projection mapping, it is executed with five Solid Shine laser projectors from Panasonic, model PT-RZ31, each with a power of 30.000 lumens, both forming blending like others in court.
For the projection on the tower of the church of San Juan Bautista, a DLP laser projector of 3 chips Barco HXD20 of 20.000 lumens, as well as the S3 processor from this manufacturer.
Two content servers (main and backup), along with audiovisual software Resolume Arena and the Timecodec generator system take care of the management, to offer on the three facades of the Mercado Chico and the church tower a minimum of 110 lux per square meter.
Sound and lighting system
The show and content of the 360º projection will be synchronized with an audio system line array quadraphonic (with four points in each of the corners of the square) to also provide surround sound for the viewer.
To achieve, Rental SP has installed twelve two-way active speakers Kara and equal number of the passive two-way model Nice II of L-Acoustics, which are completed with eight subwoofers SB28 and six amplifiers LA8 from this manufacturer, with a total power of 50.600 watts, whose signal, just like the video ones, are done with fiber optic and their respective conversions.
The sound system is managed with a digital mixing console DiGiCo S21 and cards Motor M4 for audio outputs and Timecodec synchronization.
As far as lighting is concerned, Low consumption LED technology is used to create lighting effects synchronized with the projection and content, with twelve hybrid moving heads Martin MH7 beam and equal number of luminaires with wash light Mac Aura from this manufacturer.
Added to this are eight moving heads Vari-Lite VL3000; 48 barras Led RGB and others 48 wireless spotlights SmartBat Plus of Prolights, with two DMX nodes per RJ, controlled with lighting console Chamsys MQ80 and Timecode synchronization with the surround audio system.
