Zarzuela Theatre Ayrton Stonex

Eight Ghiblis spot mobile spotlights and six Levante-S washes Ayrton are part of the new equipment installed in the Teatro de la Zarzuela to increase the creative possibilities of the works and events it offers.

Supplied by Stonex, the new mobile spotlights of Ayrton have improved the lighting system of the Teatro de la Zarzuela. The model Ghibli incorporates a precise blade system and ensures a versatile light beyond trimming.

This luminaire is capable of generating a wide palette of tones thanks to its CMYK color mix, combined with a variable CTO and a complementary color wheel.

As highlighted Antonio Lopez, technical director of the Teatro de la Zarzuela, "Ghibli are silent; its consumption is low and its light source very high, with extremely precise positioning, and a slow and very smooth movement, in addition to having a compact format".

Next to its variable zoom –7° to 56°-, it has a wide variety of gobos and an effect wheel that are already a sign of the French brand. It also has a variable prism, frost filters and an iris diaphragm.

Your illuminator, Juanjo Llorens, recognizes that "its versatility for light inputs, false windows... gives dynamics to the show because the viewer appreciates that something is always going on. The quality of the device is in not going to blows, it has linearity and can gradually open the blades and the dimmer".

With a will to bend and sculpt light, more than just designing it, the Teatro de la Zarzuela has also been equipped with six Levante-S by Ayrton, a moving head wash with a white light regulated to 7.000 K, with a tight size and consumption of only 300 W.

Antonio López emphasizes that "it produces an ultra-high performance in terms of white light. It is specially designed for scenic applications with a silent operation that in the field of lyrics is so important; oigamos a los artistas y no a la tecnología”.

More efficient technological transition

When the led moving heads enter the scenic spaces it is possible to solve various needs without installing many equipment, which improves the safety of the technical team by reducing the load and complexity of their work.

There is still a way to go in the sophistication of this luminaire, but as López points out, "These devices make it easier to coexist between the different existing light sources, in addition to facilitating in shorter times the setting of lights of the different shows. This is the way, the future".

Ayrton works to achieve ultra-efficient Led lights such as Levante-S, offering high quality and precision with limited consumption. This reduces the operating costs of the scenic spaces and improves the technological transition process, without forgetting that the current energy efficiency aids subsidize the installation of this type of luminaires.

At this point the technical director of the theater affects: "We plan to carry out the modernization of the technical infrastructures that allow us to expand and improve our scenic and musical activities. And that with these improvements we contribute our grain to reduce the ecological footprint to the maximum and increase energy efficiency".
