Installed by Productive AV, based in Richmond (Virginia), Planar's Led videowall "is a centerpiece for the Long Bridge complex," he says. Austin Harber, marketing manager of this company-. Interacts with the timing system of swimming competitions and is used to display ads, event information, live videos and statistics during the matches".

This specialist has also integrated the rest of the AV technologies of the center, Including three connected cameras with the video system. "The biggest challenge of this project was water., since the electrical equipment had to be resistant to this element and against corrosive materials. The design of Planar, with a carbon fiber construction and a waterproof rating IP65, provides durability for this environment", harber explains.

Flexible uses, numerous options

for Iggy Rodriguez, manager of Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center, "The Led Videowall Planar CarbonLight CLO puts us on a different level compared to similar facilities in the area with swimming pools of 50 metre, as well as many options as we continue to expand our programs, offers and events".

The three cameras integrated with the video system installed by Productive AV can be controlled individually, allowing the center to project different parts of the pool onto the screen.

This flexibility is being put into practice and, how Rodríguez advances: "I'm thinking specifically about diving events. This area is located next to the pool, so the transmission of live images to the videowall provides a direct view to the people who are sitting as spectators, offering a better experience of the competition".

Long-term, Rodriguez expects video wall to help attract larger events, as well as to support external uses, such as rental facilities. "One of the things we hope to do soon is a movie night., with people enjoying the movie from the pool, from the terrace or even from our seating area for spectators. We can do many different things with this great screen; the opportunities are endless".

Another advantage highlighted by Rodríguez is that "the user experience has been very easy. We do not have dedicated AV staff in the center, so our staff operates the videowall and it's being really simple".

The Led screens for outdoor videowall of the Planar CarbonLight CLO series have a thin and modular design, which is combined with a high-strength carbon fiber housing to suit a wide range of applications.

Created with a patented carbon fiber construction, CarbonLight screens are very light and resistant, and are IP65 certified for outdoor use and protected against dust and even powerful water jets.
