Hall Gemini: switch for classrooms and conference rooms

This receiver and transmitter Hall Technologies has been designed to provide AV switching, USB, HDMI, DP, VGA and USB-C extension, plus system control for meeting spaces.

Hall Technologies has added a new Codec extender switch to its lineup called Gemini. Known for its duality, It is both a receiver and a transmitter., providing simplified localized presentation support for classrooms and meeting rooms of all sizes.

“Gemini was created to provide AV switching, USB, HDMI, DP, VGA and USB-C extension, plus system control for meeting spaces, using PC-based conferencing codecs like Teams, Zoom, Skype y Webex”, explains Ken Eagle, Vice President of Technology at Hall Technologies. “This kit offers six video inputs shared between both devices for HDMI signals, Display Port, VGA plus analog audio input and USB-C”.

When combined with the meeting room presentation switcher Ranger, the camera CAM-1080PTZ, the portable USB and Bluetooth speaker HT-Satellite-BT and cables from Hall Technologies becomes a solution for classrooms and conference rooms in a variety of configurations.

Gemini has six USB ports, three on the transmitter and three on the receiver, enabling numerous HID devices, as well as USB cameras and microphones. The kit supports a 4K/UHD source at 60 Hz with color subsampling 4:2:0.

All audio streaming, video, data, control, USB and Ethernet between the two devices is over a single Ethernet-enabled HDBaseT link up to 100 metros. It is intended to simplify the integration of classroom and small office systems, for installation under conference tables and on lecterns, to provide localized presentation switching support.
