Wachfire at Eastlink Center

The new four-sided central display Watchfire Centerhung gives fans at the arena of this stadium in Canada a view of 360 Scoring grades, Game and promotional content.

In the Easlink Center A renovation of the facilities has been carried out, and the sand scoreboard has been modernized with the installation of a four-sided indoor screen Watchfire Centerhung of 3,9 Mm.

This is a combined hockey/basketball stadium, and a commercial facility. Located in Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island – Canada), was built in 1991 for the Winter Games and is home to QMJHL's Charlottetown Islanders and ECBL's Charlottetown Power. In addition, Hosts concerts and other live events throughout the year.

The facility has undergone a renovation that includes new lighting and sound systems. The old fixed digit marker has also been replaced by the first digital marker hung in the center of the island, for which Watchfire's Centerhung technology has been used.

Watchfire's new four-sided center display provides fans in the arena with 3.645 seats a view of 360 Scoring grades and live play, Providing videos with replays, in addition to displaying different types of content and promotional information.

"The resolution of the scoreboard is so good that it's like watching a giant TV.. It's opening up new opportunities to hold events when the Islanders are traveling.. It's a blank canvas and we're excited about its possibilities.", Says John Abbott, General Manager of Eastlink Centre.

Gemini Group of Companies of Charlottetown submitted the bid to design and install the scoreboard and specified Watchfire to manufacture the display, after becoming familiar with the company through his experience as a distributor of Yesco.

"Watchfire was a natural fit for the project., and we are very satisfied with the experience and attention of the team", Explains Mark Fisher, President of Gemini Group of Companies.

The new central assembly also facilitates maintenance and repair. Watchfire mounted the new scoreboard using a lifting system, so site operators can easily lower and raise the display for routine maintenance or repair.
