Audinate Dante AV-A Aspeed

The association of Audinate with Aspeed Technology has resulted in the Dante AV-A version, software-based and optimized to work with the SoC AST1530/1535 of the latter, that nine manufacturers have already licensed.

since 2004, Aspeed has been one of the pioneers in AV over IP solutions Designed to address the demands of remote video and multimedia transmission. the SoC AST1530/1535 is the next-generation chipset designed specifically for professional audio/video applications that leverage industry-standard IP networks.

The new version Dante AV-A of Audinate Delivers high-quality video, with a resolution of up to 4Kp60 4:4:4, and two channels of Dante audio, compatible with your audio products, simplifying distributed AV system design.

Audio and video streams, Independently routable and with ultra-low latency, allow the Audio distribution to DSPs, Amplifiers or speakers installed is done with a single click. The software Dante Controller Handles all audio and video device routing, whereas Dante Domain Manager provides IT-level management, with continuous system monitoring, Audit logs and user access control.

"We are excited to partner with Audinate to bring Dante AV to our platform," he said. Chris Lin, president of Aspeed-, with the aim of continuing to add value to our manufacturing partners and their customers. This partnership allows us to prequalify Dante as part of the AST1530/1535 SoC and make it available to customers through our SDK, which makes it as easy as possible for OEMs and ODMs to add this feature to their products".

For its part, Aidan Williams, CEO of Audinate, explains that "as one of the most widely used SoCs in the AV over IP market, Aspeed is an important strategic partner. This partnership and the introduction of Dante AV-A is an important addition to our range., which makes it easier for manufacturers to integrate and provides customers with the widest variety of hardware products that are interoperable through Dante's management and control software.".

the nine manufacturers that have already licensed Dante AV-A, are AMX by Harman, Aurora Multimedia, AVPro Global, Cypress, GoMax, HDCVT, ProITAV, SY Electronics and WyreStorm. Audinate will demonstrate this version using the new WyreStorm encoders and decoders during its participation in InfoComm 2023, of the 14 to the 16 June in Orlando (stand 2821).

Audinate's Dante AV strategy is to provide integrators and end users interoperability among AV over IP hardware manufacturers. Its different versions allow customers to find the right balance between video quality, bandwidth utilization and cost of your application, while ensuring products can be routed and managed using software tools such as Dante Controller and Dante Domain Manager.

The Dante AV family now includes versions:

Dante AV Ultra, Designed for more demanding applications, Provides end-to-end clock synchronization, Ultra-low latency and high-quality video.

Dante AV-A , optimized for AV distribution for commercial installations.

Dante AV-H , Designed for applications that incorporate video software, as conference rooms, Higher education and small production environments.

Professional Services

In addition, Audinate has also just presented Dante Professional Services, An initiative with which it aims to help consultants, integrators and end users to navigate the complexities of a fast-paced AV over IP world.

This proposal is presented as an additional resource to help them design, deploy and manage Dante systems, providing access to Audinate's AV network expertise to create complex system designs, Reviews and recommendations, or when a neutral third party is needed to resolve technical issues.
