Key Digital defines a flexible conference space with Compass Control Pro
The AV infrastructure of the Carson Springs Conference Center, in the United States, uses video signal and signal processing solutions Key Digital to respond to the needs of this multipurpose space.
He Carson Springs Conference Center, located in Newport (Tennessee – EE.) has completed a technological renovation project and expansion of its space, formed by a large room that can potentially be divided into eight smaller ones for multiple uses of presentations and events, both educational and church.
The main objective of the new AV system was to have easy and simple control for the center staff, as well as for guest presenters. To address these needs, its administrators have resorted to Eaton Technology Solutions, you have selected the software Compass Control Pro of Key Digital, a fully integrated iOS based control system, offering simple and versatile management throughout the facility through two dedicated iPads.
How do you explain Doug Eaton, responsable de Eaton Technology Solutions, “they wanted to have control, but do not install touch panels on the wall, since the center welcomes a wide variety of users, from youth groups to seniors or institutions that use the space for presentations. They just needed to set it up and then carry the iPad, and Compass Control made this easy to do without having to purchase any proprietary control equipment.”.
With a customizable design, These Compass Control Pro-equipped tablets communicate directly with the centerpiece of the facility: master controllers Key Digital KD-CX800, with capabilities IR and RS-232 over IP, that integrate with other brands of equipment, including digital signal processors Clear One.
Besides, Other Key Digital components have been used to connect up to six independent spaces at a time, with complete input and routing options to any of the conference room audio and visual playback systems.
Specifically, a switching matrix has been installed HDMI KD-MS8x8G eight inputs and eight outputs with audio decay, Powering six sets of extenders KD-X444SP HDMI on 50 meters for Cat6 network connectivity to any of the six screens located in each of the rooms.
To facilitate the interface of presentation devices on the mixer, Eaton has deployed six pairs of independent KD-X2x1WDTx HDMI wall plate switches/transmitters over 40 Cat6 HDBaseT meters, con receptores KD-X40MRx HDMI.
“They needed to connect in any area of the room and route that signal to any exhibit in that space. The switching matrix does it, but due to the distance between the room and the rack, we had to find a way to make it all work. They come in with their device and want to use it to make a presentation. Depending on the room configuration, The front is not always in the same place.”.
