UNE remodels its headquarters' AV system with Shure and Philips

On the fifth floor of the Spanish Standardization Association building (A) Two independent rooms have been enabled that can be transformed into a single space. Audio requirements are based on the solutions of Shure, while the visualization section focuses on the screens of Philips, brands that distribute Earpro&EES.

The fifth floor of the building Spanish Standardization Association (A) in Madrid a remodeling has just been completed by the company Do Video, specialized in audio and video integration and solutions, for the launch of two multifunctional spaces, where Shure and Philips technology predominates.

The UNE is the only Standardization Organization in Spain designated by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism before the European Commission. It is a global organization whose purpose is to develop technical norms or standards that contribute to the shared progress of society and the creation of a safer world., sustainable and competitive.

The main need raised by this project was to enable two independent rooms (5.1 y 5.2) what, in turn, offered the possibility of transforming into a single space when larger capacity was involved., with capacity for 50 personas, approximately; as well as the development of an open space, which would correspond to the Forum room.

As far as audio is concerned, have been deployed between the two rooms three ceiling array microphones for Shure conferencing applications, and in the space that forms the union between the two, there is the firm's online mute button..

In the video section, when the two spaces become a single area, Six Philips monitors have been arranged, two of them, hidden in the ceiling. In parallel to those that remain hidden, two have been arranged 4K UHD displays 86 inches with direct Led feedback for the presidencies, and two more at the head of the table.

In addition, one has been set up wireless conference unit with touch screen for control of 20 Shure microphones, served in advance, and that are usually used on the occasion of the celebration of the committee. For the audio processing of these rooms, a conference audio processor with acoustic echo cancellation has been chosen., noise reduction and automatic gain control for up to eight Dante channels.

As it is an open and large space, It has been decided to support the development of presentations, requests and questions with two handheld microphones with receiver from the same manufacturer; as well as four Full HD monitors 55 inches with Philips direct LED feedback, creating a video wall.
