AVPro Edge AC-DA-X2

The new AC-DA-X2 models of AVPro Edge include compatibility with 48 Gbps and expanded EDID management, enabling integrators to overcome installation hurdles while ensuring the best performance for current or legacy AV systems.

AVPro Edge has presented the series AC-DA-X2 of HDMI 2.1b distribution amplifiers, including three models with different output configurations.

The AC-DA-12X2 is an amplifier with 48 Gbps one-input to two-output splits incoming HDMI signals up to 8K/60fps into two independent output streams. The AC-DA-14X2 is a one input to four output version, and the AC-DA-18X2 is a one-input to eight-output model, which completes the range of 8K/60 fps HDMI distribution amplifiers for professionals in the audiovisual sector.

“We have designed this range of next-generation HDMI distribution amplifiers from AVPro Edge as high-performance solutions for residential and commercial AV integrators in a wide variety of system applications.”, explains Matt Murray, AVPro Edge CTO. “The output of each distribution amplifier can be scaled to provide an immersive 3D audio format signal to a decoder audio playback device that may still be viable for that purpose, although outdated for the passage of video signal. This functionality extends the life of expensive AV receivers or preamp processors that, otherwise, they would be obsolete”.

Old but functional displays crossing over on systems with overlapping HDMI and HDCP versions can force a system to reduce the resolution of all displays to be compatible.

AC-DA-X2 series HDMI distribution amplifiers allow mixed display systems to coexist at their native speeds, with a wide dynamic range available.

Advantages of AC-DA-X2 series:

  • Bandwidth of 48 Gbps (Fixed Rate Link 6).
  • Custom EDID mix (combine EDID of different devices).
  • EDID support 4 Expanded blocks for demanding NextGen displays.
  • Supports gaming-oriented HDMI 2.1b features.
  • Signal downscaling for compatibility with legacy displays.
  • Extracted audio for digital applications up to 7.1 or analogue 2 canales.
