SAW Namibia upgrades O boardroom&L for hybrid meetings

This private company from Namibia has entrusted the AV integration of its executive room to Stage Audio Works (SAW) to improve the meeting experience and collaboration between your in-person and remote delegates.

Founded in 1919, Ohlthaver & List (O&L) is one of the largest private companies in Namibia and operates in various sectors, such as food and drinks, fishing, retail trade, real estate promotion, hospitality and leisure.

Known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability and for contributing to the economic development of Namibia, O&L has recently completed the integration of a modern AV system in your executive boardroom, who has trusted the specialist SAW Namibia.

The goal of this project was to update both the aesthetics and technological capabilities of the boardroom, ensuring the best virtual communication and enhanced meeting experience, for both in-person and hybrid delegates.

How do you explain Emce Smit, technical director of Stage Audio Works Namibia, “We have a long relationship with O&L based on previous projects. On this occasion, The company needed its boardroom to have capacity for between 17 y 25 seats and required technology that was compatible with both the conference platform Microsoft Teams as with Zoom”.

Other focuses of the project included the installation of a programming panel, ceiling mounted microphones, multiple trail cameras, a dual screen setup, power plugs under the table, a cable-free environment and interactive whiteboard technology.

To meet these requirements, SAW Namibia installed two 85” UHD screens, one next to the other, to provide high quality images and share them. The system of AVoIP video conferencing ensures perfect signal management, content sharing and source switching, allowing users to connect their own devices.

And beamforming ceiling microphone and built-in speakers ensure that all participants in the meeting, in person and remotely, have a clear and intelligible sound. Besides, a camera captures whiteboard content to facilitate improved collaboration.

A video tracking solution for participants and a touch panel on desktop help ensure engaging meeting experiences, with easy-to-use control of this space.

Besides, a touch screen installed outside the boardroom shows the details of the programming, providing the O team&L visibility about your occupation. All active equipment automatically shuts down when this space is vacated, which saves electricity and extends the useful life of the equipment.
