Hippotizer servers go for 3D video at Talking Stick resort

In the poker room of this Arizona casino they have installed 11 high resolution screens and to manage them there are three Hippotizer Tierra+ MK2 and two Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 media servers. For its part, the showroom has a total of 10 screens and four more servers Green Hippo.

The goal of the project was to upgrade the complex's inefficient and low-quality CMS system, It was not able to handle high resolution graphics files, required for newly installed DVLED displays in multiple locations. Inside the resort, The Poker Room offers 69 mesas, which makes it the largest in the area. “The poker room includes a total of 11 screens and implemented and commissioned three media servers Hippotizer Tierra+ MK2 and two Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 to fill this space”, explains Carl Adams, Vice President of Sales at Immedia. “The main decision criterion was based on the ability to load, Program and render high-resolution, high-bitrate content on high-resolution displays, which led us to Hippotizer as the solution with enough processing power and output power”.

There are a series of DVLED screens in the Poker Room and the Showroom, which include three large formats in a hallway, two column wraps, as well as a series of ribbon-type screens that intertwine throughout the two rooms. Screens vary from 0,93 mm a 1,67 mm.

The showroom now offers a total of 10 screens and the Immedia team implemented and commissioned a Hippotizer Tierra+ MK2 and three Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 Media Servers to fill the space.

“As the project progressed, the Talking Stick Resort team added two more single screens in new locations and we specified two Hippotizer Karst+ MK2 media servers, one for each wall, which our team purchased directly from tvONE/Green Hippo”, Adams adds.. “We carry out online training and, as a result, we completed most of the configuration and commissioning of the Hippotizer units. Green Hippo provided remote support and was able to help our team optimize the image result. We continue to support the resort team with training and their internal team has been able to update and upload new files. The setups and resulting images are fantastic”.

Talking Stick Resort has hired digital art company Render Impact for custom 3D content, very high resolution and high bit rate. “At the moment, The content is being developed in playlist or archive mode and our team is working to provide programming that will allow the team to recall specific playlist presets”, Adams adds.. “In the future, We hope to install even more Hippotizer media servers in the environment for additional displays and will provide ongoing support”.
