ISE and Llum BCN once again merge art and technology at ISE 2025
The Barcelona Light Arts Festival, transforms the urban landscape into a mesmerizing spectacle of artistic ingenuity. Visitors who come to WHEREAS 2025 will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Llum BCN 2025 before its official start.
For the fourth consecutive year Integrated Systems Europe (WHEREAS) y Llum BCN have come together to merge the most innovative technology and artistic creation. This lighting installation will be presented at ISE 2025, which will take place 4 al 7 from February to Barcelona Gran Vía Fair.
This annual festival that will take place 7 al 9 February 2025 in the Poblenou neighborhood, organized by the Barcelona City Council, will feature light installations created by 15 professional artists and 17 universities.
The creative offer will cover contemporary art, design and architecture, lighting technology and design, converting streets, places, buildings and parks in unmissable works of art.

This year's edition will include projects by artists such as photographer Joan Fontcuberta, the film director and screenwriter Isaki Lacuesta, and the set designer, lighting artist and creator Laura Clos, known as Closca. More than 240.000 people attended the edition of 2024 of the festival.
Visitors to ISE 2025 will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Llum BCN 2025 before the official start of the festival. Thursday 6 February, at 18:30, Alice Labourel, French art director and artist known for fusing visual narratives and new technologies, present his work A Tiny Bead of Pure Life on the welcome screen of the south entrance of the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía.
With training in architecture and ballet, Labourel combines drawing, 3D modeling, mythology and nature to create works that connect the physical and virtual worlds. Your piece, a lively journey 15 minutes through surreal and abstract landscapes inspired by nature, invites viewers to reflect on the smallness of life. Inspired by the short novel The death of the moth the Virginia Wool, The work turns the seemingly insignificant actions of small beings into profound lessons about existence..
“Our goal is to transform the urban landscape into a luminous canvas of artistic creativity and technical and audiovisual innovation that delights and challenges the public.. Each installation is a unique expression of imagination and innovation, taking to the limit what light and art, with the help of technology, can achieve”, states Maria Güell Ordis, artistic director of Llum BCN.
WHEREAS 2025 promises to be the most dynamic and immersive edition yet, with new initiatives and experiences, an expanded and more accessible content program, in addition to the inauguration of the Hall 8.1, accessed from the north entry point.
