Russound expands its SMZ series with a multi-room preamplifier

The new model Russound MZ16-PRE, of 16×16 expandable, offers greater control and audio quality for multi-room installations, with flexible and simple installation.

With a built-in transmitter, the matrix preamplifier SMZ16-PRE (16×16) of Russound is the latest addition to their SMZ series, after a long period of research and development to create this reliable system that offers superior audio quality and control for both installers and end users.

Based on the company's SMZ8 driver amplifier, The new SMZ16-PRE model “offers unparalleled customization and audio clarity, while providing the user with greater flexibility and ease of installation. The new SMZ16-PRE has sixteen stereo inputs, which can be used in any combination of up to sixteen analog inputs, six digital optical or four digital coaxial. Besides, can be expanded up to a 16" audio matrix×96 stereo channels for any installation.

This preamplifier has a HDMI input (ARC) to connect to a television or video source, with low latency sync to avoid sync issues, e integrates a DSP with a seven-band graphic equalizer with presets for Russound speakers.

Control can be carried out by Russound XTS7 color touch screen for wall mounting; the IPK-1 single panel IP keyboard or the application offered by this company.

The SMZ16-PRE amplifier integrates a high resolution audio transmitter, compatible with streaming platforms such as AirPlay and Google Cast, as well as other popular sources, which facilitates its operation with other systems.

Besides, the application update incorporates, among other improvements, graphic equalization, Speaker presets and features designed for greater control and customization.
