Prolights shows off its Led luminaires at the Baycourt artistic center
The stage of this New Zealand performing arts space now has a new lighting system, composed of the Astra Wash and EclProfile models Prolights, for your productions.
Located in the center of Tauranga (New Zealand), Baycourt Community & Arts Centre is a major performing arts space offering a wide range of shows from both the local community and international productions.
The core of this cultural and multipurpose space is the Addison Theater, with capacity for five hundred seats and equipped with a custom orchestra pit and flight tower.
To improve your stage and adapt it to new stage requirements, its managers have invested in technology Prolights Led lighting, to replace traditional incandescent equipment, composed of twenty-four models Astra Wash19Pix to illuminate the orchestra, and thirty Wash7Pix to replace Quad Pars on stairs.
“We wanted something that had more functionality and power than the old Fresnel, as well as changing color and moving the luminaire - he points out Dale Henderson, Baycourt technical and operations manager-. They are an excellent wash light and pixel ring It's an advantage. “They are also light and small and help reduce our energy consumption.”.
As part of the transition from incandescent luminaires, Dale also opted for LED profile lights, with the installation of seventeen elipsoidales EclProfile CT and ten EclProfile FWVW, also from the Italian manufacturer Prolights.
“We made a comparison between nine different luminaires, and the EclProfile CT+ was our favorite because it could easily provide the colors that suited our environment and light output. We needed to replace the white light fixtures in the front of the house, and it made sense to stay within the same family and obtain the EclProfile FWVW”, concludes Dale.
