Crestron transforms collaboration in multi-camera environments with Visual AI
The new features and tools that Crestron Electronics has introduced in Visual AI, with the Automate VX multi-camera speaker tracking solution, promote a more effective collaboration and productivity environment in hybrid meetings.
The product portfolio of Crestron smart video has been expanded and improved with the new solution of sAutomate VX multi-camera speaker tracking, that transforms the meeting room experience into larger spaces for fluid and immersive collaboration.
Crestron Automate VX directs cameras for cfit a speaker from multiple perspectives depending on where you look, so that key moments are always captured to improve virtual collaboration.
In a recent report, the business consultancy Frost and Sullivan foresees that, for the year 2029, one in six medium and large-sized meeting rooms will have a multi-camera solution.
The latest Automate VX update incorporates the new feature Visual AI Direction, enabling smoother interactions during meetings, as cameras change to intelligently select active speakers, depending on the angles of your face.
With this solution, in-person attendees can act naturally to take a look around the room at the content on the screens, so see other participants without worrying about how those moments are captured for virtual users.
The Visual AI Direction feature takes advantage of artificial intelligence to select the angle where a person is and switch from one camera to another, so that the speaker is well framed and centered, while avoiding less optimal shots of the side or back of someone's head.
When using multiple cameras in the room, Automate VX eliminates dependency on a static, fixed view of participants, common in single device systems, to help virtual attendees stay active in the meeting more equitably.
Automate VX's Expanding Feature Set Simplifies the Meeting Room Experience, where greater collaboration and better engagement occur naturally, without having to worry about the technology that the room has.
“We continue to invest in leveraging Visual AI auto-framing and presenter tracking to deliver the most engaging meeting room experience on the market.”, so that participants can contribute and engage with their peers without interruptions.”, states Brad Hintze, vp. Crestron Global Marketing Executive.
With the introduction of Visual AI Direction technology, “we created a dynamic experience, where cameras automatically adjust and change seamlessly in real time, to ensure that speakers stand out at the right time and angle for virtual participants - Hintze emphasizes -. These smooth transitions eliminate the obstacles of poor camera angles that lead to collaboration disjointed by interruptions.”.
Automate VX also offers software tools that allow set up rooms in advance using simple drag and drop. The latest update incorporates the possibility of add furniture directly to Intelligent Video Room Designer software, making it easy to incorporate tables and chairs into room designs.
These pieces can be scaled and moved around the layout as needed to make space planning more efficient and accurate.. Thus, Interested parties can view in advance different furniture configurations and add other rooms to an existing one.
The new function Breadcrumbs allows faster implementation and more precise adjustment of the system to adapt it to the acoustic characteristics of a space, like the movement of chairs, the movement of the speakers around the room while they speak, etc.
To take these variations into account, This function collects the last hundred audio pickups from the room's microphones, providing precise position data for space use, making it easy for IT managers to monitor and adjust audio pickup locations for best room utilization results and proper switching.
