With dimensions of 81 m² y 96 panels, INFiLED has custom designed a transparent LED screen for this racing circuit in France that drives both the excitement of the fans and the messages of the sponsors..

The fans who arrive at the emblematic Paul Ricard racing circuit, located in Le Castellet (France), are now greeted by a striking visual architectural piece: a huge transparent Led screen that extends 15 meters along the façade of the main entrance of the premises.

The large scale installation, designed and customized by INFiLED and installed in collaboration with the French integrator ND Tech Med, It is one of the transparent Led screens largest in Europe.

This gigantic screen, of 81 m² and configured with 96 panels, is used for live broadcast of the races, interviews and messages from sponsors. An innovative visual solution personalized and specifically adapted by INFiLED to the demanding technical requirements, aesthetic and structural of the historic racing circuit.

The Paul Ricard circuit, Long-time home of Le Mans and Formula racing 1 in France, as well as numerous other motor sports, cycling and racing, He is an icon of French motorsports. built in 1969 with the support of tycoon Paul Ricard, This circuit is famous for its versatility, adaptability and its characteristics red and blue runway exit zones, in addition to being one of the most sustainable in the world in its category.

For this innovative project, INFiLED designed a total of 96 transparent Led panels, with three unique panels installed with millimeter precision in each of the 32 glass windows of the circuit, which required meticulous design and engineering to achieve overall visual uniformity.

This custom designed Led screen, of 15 meters wide and 5,4 m high, has a horizontal pixel pitch 4 mm and 8 mm en vertical, in order to maximize visibility and clarity for a moving crowd from various distances and angles, without compromising its transparency.

One of the main design challenges was finding the right balance between light transmission and screen intensity: if it was too transparent, the image would be faded; in the case of being too opaque, the facility would lose its architectural impact.

Equally complex were the structural challenges. Despite the lightness of the transparent Led solutions developed by INFiLED, a screen of this size places a significant burden on installation.

INFiLED and ND Tech Med designed a custom fixing system to ensure long-term stability, at the same time adapted to thermal expansion, avoiding any risk of strain or damage to the glass canopy below.

The mounting solution also guarantees a quick access for maintenance, a critical factor for a high-traffic, event-oriented environment, where continuous uptime is paramount.

The design and development process of this ambitious visual installation included a research visit to the INFiLED exhibition hall in Barcelona, followed by three on-site demonstrations at the Paul Ricard circuit itself to test and refine the bespoke concept under real-world conditions.

“The new Led screen of the Paul Ricard circuit is not only a warm welcome, bold and dynamic, It is an architectural statement. It is also a vision that we are honored to help make a reality.”, assures Matthew Arnould, INFiLED sales director in France.

“For us, no goal is too complex or far-fetched. We custom build each element exclusively for this project, because for more than sixteen years, and with more than two hundred patents, we can adapt to any space or ambition. If you have a big and impossible plan, “We are all ears.”, Arnould concludes..
