PPDS brings Philips MediaSuite TVs to luxury yachts
To offer a better guest experience, PPDS has installed professional televisions Philips MediaSuite in all cabins on the luxury superyachts Grand Pioneers I and Grand Pioneers II, which are located in the most popular tourist destination in Vietnam.
PPDS has installed 110 televisions Philips MediaSuite, compatible with Google Cast and Netflix, in the floating hotels of 6 Vietnam's most luxurious stars: los Grand Pioneers I y II.
Halong Bay on Tuan Chau Island is one of the most scenic and fastest growing tourist destinations in Vietnam, with white sand beaches, a crystal-clear turquoise ocean and thousands of iconic limestone islets that create a paradisiacal environment like no other on earth.
As competition among hotels reaches fever pitch, along with rising guest expectations, the need of hoteliers, both on land and at sea, to differentiate and create unforgettable experiences that make guests feel at home has never been greater.
New standards
Taking advantage of new opportunities, Viet Thuan Group, the main group in maritime transport bulk cargo in vietnam, has acquired the twin superyachts Grand Pioneers I and II, of 110×19 metros, seven decks and 25.400 tons, which are the first luxury yacht hotels located in Halong Bay.
Operated by Grand Pioneers, The goal was to set a new benchmark for onboard luxury., focusing mainly on a state-of-the-art television system to offer optimal image quality, offer of entertainment and services in its modern and spacious cabins.
In collaboration with Logico, IT and AV integration specialist, PPDS' Philips MediaSuite range of televisions was identified as the most outstanding option to respond to the company's objectives for this innovative maritime project.
Connected to a local on-board media server, Guests can experience a near-seamless transition to how they choose to access and enjoy their preferred television entertainment within their modern and spacious staterooms..
Exceeding the entertainment capabilities and opportunities found in any cruise television, Philips MediaSuite allows guests to fully control how, when and what passengers want to see on the big screen, with a wide selection of terrestrial channels, recovery services, plus a movie library, programs, music, channels* and games available to suit all interests and age groups.
Con Philips MediaSuite, which includes Google Cast already integrated into the television itself, guests on board can access and enjoy their favorite content from their preferred streaming platforms directly on the big screen using their own personal device (smartphone, tablet, notebook computer).
Sustainability
In line with PPDS strategy, The two Grand Pioneers yachts have been designed with sustainability in mind, becoming the first cruise ships in Vietnam to meet international standards based on their green credentials. Grand Pioneers' focus on sustainability also extended to televisions, where Philips MediaSuite stood out even more.
