VITEC boosts its video capabilities with the acquisition of Datapath
The purchase of Datapath, video processing specialist for large scale video wall, on the part of VITEC reinforces its proposal in these systems and video distribution with greater engineering capacity, customer support and geographic reach.
VITEC's official announcement with the acquisition of Datapath responds to its technological and growth strategy to expand its video wall and video distribution solutions with the engineering of this manufacturer and its position in different international markets.
This is stated by the deputy general director of VITEC, Nicolas Quesne: “Datapath is a highly respected leader in the professional AV industry, Recognized for engineering excellence, Your intuitive solutions for video walls and control rooms, and its decades of experience in video hardware and software development”.

Advanced video wall processing technology, Datapath's multi-screen graphics and AV over IP will be integrated into VITEC solutions, which will allow this company to offer a broader range of capabilities to support IPTV distribution applications.
Once the integration is complete, near the 50% of VITEC's staff will be made up of engineers, underscoring the company's commitment to technical innovation and customer-focused development.

As a result of the acquisition, Webster will now be responsible for the engineering teams across VITEC's portfolio of video streaming solutions..
The integration will maintain Datapath product names and categories, including your video wall drivers and processors, AV over IP solutions, capture cards and control room solutions, within the VITEC portfolio.
According to the acquisition statement, VITEC intends to maintain the portfolio, while enhancing Datapath development and support capabilities, company that provides service to clients from more than one hundred countries in sectors such as professional audiovisual, the defense, education, safety and health.
