Notre-Dame de Paris completes its renaissance with a 4K production system from Panasonic
An ambitious display of audiovisual production with more than ten cameras Panasonic The renaissance of the iconic Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral culminates, a project of Groupe Novelty described as one of the “most ambitious integrations ever carried out” in a place of worship.
The solutions of Panasonic integrated into the cathedral they support the production of eucharists, concerts and other special events. The configuration is based on a fiber infrastructure state-of-the-art technology deployed throughout the building, which uses a dual-layer network architecture spine-leaf capable of transporting synchronized audio and video streams with ultra-low latency through open standards such as IS, Dante y Milan-AVB.
To manage video capture and production, the cathedral manager opted for eight cameras PTZ AW-UE150 of Panasonic, to which they join three cameras additional dedicated content return and live streaming. The system is completed with a live switch 4K Panasonic AV-UHS500, combined with remote production workflows for KTO TV broadcast.
The deployment was completed quickly meeting a key requirement: preserve the monument. To achieve this objective, The cameras were integrated with tailored solutions and non-invasive, even repainting some tools to adapt to the architecture.
