Avixa makes Mariana Atencio a key voice of InfoComm 2026
InfoComm 2026 returns from 17 al 19 June to the Las Vegas Convention Center with the classic Avixa Women's Breakfast, a key event promoted by the Women's Council Avixa which will feature the vision and experience of the award-winning journalist, writer and influencer Mariana Atencio.
Attention, Peabody Award winner, former NBC and Univision anchor, and author of Perfectly You, will offer a conference titled “What is real matters: building trust in an unreal world”, which will address one of the leadership challenges most urgent today: how to build trust in an era defined by curated narratives, AI-generated content and growing skepticism. In his presentation, Attention will explore how authenticity becomes a competitive advantage for leaders and organizations. Based on his experience as a journalist, narrator and founder of GoLike, will share strategies to build trust, strengthen team resilience and communicate clearly in times of accelerated change.
At the end of the conference, a will open question session and a meeting with the speaker, in which attendees will be able to talk directly and exchange ideas. Atencio will aim to help participants reach “practical” conclusions.: “how to lead in uncertainty, align teams around a common purpose and build brands based on credibility and trust”.
Venezuelan of origin, Atencio built his career covering some of the most decisive moments in recent history, including the crisis in his own country. For more than a decade he was national correspondent for NBC News and presenter of Univision, where he interviewed world leaders, elite athletes and heads of state, from Pope Francis to Serena Williams or Rafael Nadal.
He Women's Council, the oldest of Avixa with more than 1.200 affiliates, Its purposes are to promote the participation and integration of professionals (engineers, techniques, administrators, marketers and managers) in the audiovisual integration industry, as part of diversity efforts, Avixa inclusion and equality.
