The Digital Cinema Initiatives certification sets standards for digital cinema projectors and models NC1100L and NC1040L of NEC Display laser have obtained this certification.

NEC proyectores NC1100L y NC1040L

The NC1100L and the NC1040L projectors of NEC Display Solutions Europe comply with the standards of the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) becoming, according to its manufacturer, in the first teams laser in the world to get it.

"Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) sets the standards for digital cinema projectors. Projectors laser offer a high reliability, low cost of operation and long life, as well as a wide range of colours and high resolution. This combination provides the quality and performance that viewers expect from digital cinema today", says Gerd Kaiser, Product Line Manager for Large Venue Projectors from NEC Display Solutions Europe.

The NC1100L is a compact projector for digital cinema that uses a light source blue laser and, thanks to its quality, is the solution of film screening digital 2 K ideal for small screening rooms both screens of up to 11 meters.

NEC NC1100LOn the other hand, the NC1040L offers a 4K resolution and a wide range of colors, providing a high-quality image to moviegoers more demanding. It is designed for screens up to 10 meters.

Thanks to its integrated light source, both projectors have up to 20.000 hours life useful and only need an occasional cleaning of the filter, advantages that decrease the cost of maintenance. These projectors also conform to the Laser Class 3R in IEC60825-1 Edition2, the international standard for digital cinema market.

DCI compliance Research Institute conducted the test to check for digital media and content (DMC) of Keio University in Japan. This Center is one of the three entities that are licensed Digital Cinema Initiatives to make the test of compliance with JIU (DCI CTP) around the world.

Estos proyectores 4K se podrán ver durante el evento Cine Europe 2014 que tendrá lugar en Barcelona del 16 al 19 de junio. NEC Display Solutions estará presente en la Suite D del AC Hotel Barcelona Forum.
